Conquer English · Volume One · Chapter 11
Express Yourself
The drills
- Your expression gap
- 1 to write.
- Give me a second
- 5 seconds. Do it, then put a mark in the grid below.
- Watching, and your three words
- 3 to write.
The mission
- Identify your expression gap — one thought you have daily in your native language that you would never attempt in English.
- Watch one scene from an English show. Do not listen for words. Watch for expression.
- Have one opinion out loud today — in English, about anything. Not a translation.
- Find your English personality — three words that describe who you are in your mother language, used in English, out loud, to someone.
- Speak when you go blank — use the sentence: “Give me a second, I want to say this right.” Then speak anyway.
